Frequently asked
questions

  • What is ModCon?

ModCon is Modular's annual developer conference — one action-packed day where the community comes together to see what's next in AI infrastructure. Expect major product launches, live demos, hands-on workshops, and conversations with the engineers and researchers shaping the future of AI.

When and where is ModCon 2026?

ModCon 2026 takes place on August 18, 2026 in San Francisco, CA. The event runs from registration at 7:30 am through a reception and entertainment until 8 pm.

    Who should attend?

ModCon is designed for developers, engineers, researchers, and technical leaders working at the frontier of AI. Whether you build, run, or scale AI systems — or you're just getting started with Modular's tools — there's something here for you.

    Will there be hands-on sessions?

Yes. The afternoon includes coding challenges, guided workshops, and live product demos where you can build, test, and deploy with Modular tools.

    Who will be speaking?

Speakers include Modular engineers and researchers, industry thought leaders, customers, and partners. Sessions span keynotes and panel discussions to community-led talks and technical deep dives. The full speaker list will be announced closer to the event.

Will sessions be recorded or streamed?

We'll be livestreaming the keynote and many other talks, so you can tune in from anywhere. However, the hands-on sessions and live demos are an in-person-only experience — another great reason to join us in San Francisco.

Will food and drinks be provided?

Yes. Breakfast, coffee, snacks, beverages, catered lunch, and reception drinks/light bites will be provided. Gluten-free and vegan options will also be available.

What makes ModCon different from other AI conferences?

ModCon is intentionally focused on practical AI infrastructure. Smaller attendance, technical depth, hands-on access, and direct interaction with the engineers building the tools create a more actionable and collaborative experience.
