Max Hutchinson

Computational scientist and machine learning expert with experience making a wide range of models as fast and useful as possible.  Max has worked on recommenders and schedulers for microfinance (Kiva Microfunds), automated statistical learning and experimental design for materials and chemicals discovery (Citrine Informatics), direct numerical simulations of incompressible fluid flow (Argonne National Lab; University of Chicago), and electronic structure (Lawrence Berkeley National Labs; Carnegie Mellon University). Max received his PhD from the University of Chicago and BS from Carnegie Mellon University, both in Physics. In his spare time, Max enjoys gardening, board games, and going to the park with his 2 year old daughter.
