Joe Pamer

Joe spent the last 8 years at Meta, where he was focused on improving the company’s AI and developer infrastructure stacks. Before that he served as Instagram’s CTO, overseeing much of Meta’s work on programming languages (mainly focused on Python, PHP, and Javascript), and co-founded its first applied ML team for infrastructure. Before joining Facebook, he helped design and develop the F#, TypeScript, and Swift programming languages, and contributed to many other developer technologies, such as Clang, Visual Studio, and VS Code.
